Join us in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala for a Jurema / Changa / Xanga ceremony. Release what no longer serves, let go of limiting beliefs, connect with Nature, gain clarity on your purpose, inspire your creativity, open your heart, and leave feeling uplifted, and grateful. Space held with respect, love, care, and joy!
Mystical Yoga Farm is a fully resourced shamanic center and off-grid community immersed in nature right on the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. We offer Jurema / Xanga / Changa ceremonies throughout the year and sometimes include it in our plant medicine retreats at Lake Atitlán.
Jah and Sunny hold these nights, with trusted helpers in the room. Jurema is the huntress and guardian of the forest. With her swift arrow she pierces through the darkness and brings forth the light: trauma, old patterns, visions, insight, and more joy and magick. She is a deity, and a sacred plant: Mimosa Hostilis, extracted into a smokable form of Xanga / Changa. We also offer a MAOI tea, Syrian Rue, which enhances and elongates the DMT effects.

How a ceremony unfolds
Held like an ayahuasca night — noble silence, icaros, jungle songs, and Jurema songs. About six hours, 5pm till around 1am.
The night
5:00pm
Ceremony begins
A sacred six-hour sit. Noble silence, icaros, songs from the jungle, medicine music, and Jurema songs.
Smoke as you need
Each person can smoke multiple times through the night, as desired. Medicine is served by Jahendo, alongside Sunny and other trusted facilitators. Jahendo has ten years serving this medicine — so you are in GOOD hands!
Limpias
Halfway through, Jahendo gives each person an individual limpia — a shamanic cleansing — to release old energy and bring forth more light.
Joy and celebration
Then we crank up the joy. Lightness, celebration, happiness. Towards the end the space opens for others to share songs.
Fruit and soup
Grounding food, music still flowing, and space to chat about the night.
10:00am
Breakfast and sharing
Integration circle the next morning. Breakfast, and time to speak what moved.

Frequently asked questions
Unlike some countries where Changa use is heavily restricted, Guatemala occupies a more open space for alternative and spiritual medicines. It operates in a legal gray zone, which allows traditional ceremonies to take place without formal restrictions. This openness, combined with Lake Atitlán’s potent energy vortex, has made Guatemala an increasingly popular destination for those interested in working with Changa.
